To maximize foot traffic and minimize conflict with local business owners and neighbors:

  1. ASK FIRST.  Before setting up in front of a business, please receive their permission.
  2. CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF.  After packing up at night, take a look around and pack out all trash.
  3. SET UP according to guidelines below

Leave center of sidewalks open 5 ft for pedestrian and wheel chair access in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Maintain clearance within 3 ft radius of fire hydrants.

Keep a clear 18 ft path through the center of Alberta Street for people and  emergency vehicle access.

Please avoid blocking all private driveways.

Doors and pathways to Alberta businesses must remain clear and open.

Please refrain from placing your table, merchandise, etc. in the street before 5 pm. At 5:00pm you may move into the parking lane; however, for safety, please vend strictly from the sidewalk until after the 6 pm closure.

Parking on Alberta is for load in and load out only.

  1. Will there be vendor fees for Last Thursday in August?

  2. No Fees!!!

I’m using my Grandma’s email. My name is Olivia and I am 11 years old. I have started face painting for kids in my neighborhood and have a table at the noon concerts in Esther Short Park in Vancouver Wednesdays. I try to be creative and people seem to like what I do. My goal is to make enough money to pay for a trip to New York City next summer. I ask for donations only. But I suggest $3.00. Could I set up my table at Last Thursday in August? You can send me a message at this address. Thank you. Olivia Harris

  4. I’m a photographer and am just wondering how “handmade” my art has to be. I took the picture of course, but some of my pieces will not be printed by me, and only some of the mounting will be mine as well. But the art itself, (material the photos are printed on, colors of mattes and frames etc.) will all be chosen by me. Is all that okay?

    Thanks!

    -Alex

  7. I’m a cook and I have wanted too open a food truck I make great empanadas. I wanted too see how they sell. what would I have too do too set up there,it only be a burner and a pot

  8. Wondering if I could do a face/body painting table and if it would have to be for suggested donation only or if I could charge my standard fees per/person?

    • Standard fees. The Mayor never pulled a permit for LT therefore it is illegal for him to try and charge vendors. Go forth, paint and charge your fee.

  9. Last Thursday happens year round but the street is only closed during the peak summer months. Galleries, businesses and restaurants change out their artwork and hold openings for LT year round while the artists come out whenever the weather permits.

  10. Handmade, by you, locally. This isn’t Etsy.

    • This is not an enclosed event. You would need to carry all permits and create a beer garden with ID checkers. This is a do-it-yourself event.
